MULTISAR is a species-at-risk program that works with landholders to maintain or create habitat that benefits both their livestock operation and species-at-risk. Free assessments are conducted both on private and public land to see where beneficial management practices (BMPs) can be implemented to support the stewardship goals of both the landholder and MULTISAR.

The Prairie Conservation Forum partners with the Alberta Conservation Association to provide on-the-ground work for the MULTISAR program. This work can include detailed wildlife and range health assessments. Other organizations, including the Government of Alberta, the Government of Canada, Alberta Beef Producers, and the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association also support the MULTISAR program through financial means.
